Unmatched Heritage of VolvoThe Latin word for Volvo means "I roll". The symbol adopted by Volvo on the grille is the Alchemists symbol for iron, Volvo adopted it because of it's association with strength. Together, they mean rolling strength. The first Volvo was born just after 10:00am on April 14, 1927. when the first series built car left the factory in Gothenburg Sweden. Safety was the driving core value of the company, followed closely with quality and environmental care.. the rest is history!
